Why is there a groove line on the "F" and "J" keys on keyboards?

The small bumps or ridges found on the F and J keys on a computer keyboard are to help users correctly position their left and right hands without having to look at the keyboard. Once you're hands are on the home row key position, you should be able to locate the remainder of the keys on the keyboard.

"The bumps or nipples found on the F and J keys on the keyboard helps users correctly position their left and right hand on the keyboard without having to look at the keyboard." -This is the most common explanation given for the reason behind the bumps.
- But just think practically; I mean why should /how would one doesn't see the keyboard at any cost during typing , I mean not even stare once..?
- So there would be , another special reason for that.
- Which is, how would visually challenged people, if needed to work in normal kind of keyboards, would work? They need a reference point or point of origin to start right?
-Here comes, the real application of these bumped keys.Of course, this is very closely similar to that of the reason for the cell phone key pad(No 5 usually) .Using the keys F and J such kind of differently-able people would be able to correctly track the letters and work.
